The storage of provisioned IM instances has two partitions. To be able to use them effectively, you need to understand the difference between them.
System Partition
It holds essential data like the operating system, IM settings, and special setups that help IM run smoothly. This space is strictly reserved for internal IM operations and should not be used to store any actual data or event records.
All data on system storage are lost during the upgrade of IM. You have to use mounted storage for your data.
Mounted Partition
Mounted partition should be used for data exchange CSV files, and other data which are used for integration. The mounted storage is available on IM pod under the folder /home/customer (in IM properties it is represented by the integration.sftp.root
property).Â
Note: Backups, events are stored in the /home/im folder which is not accessible via SFTP. This may change in the future and it might become available so that users can reprocess an event if needed.
Notice that the SFTP server which is created during IM creation is connected to this folder as well.Â
If you want to consume data from the SFTP server which was created together with IM, note that it is better to use file: access instead of pfx-sftp. It is faster, more reliable, and more cost-effective for the infrastructure (when using SFTP in routes, the traffic from/to the cloud provider is billed to Pricefx).
