Waterfall Chart

Waterfall chart is a form of data visualization that allows you to determine the cumulative effect of sequentially introduced positive or negative values. The Waterfall chart is normally used for understanding how an initial value is affected by a series of intermediate positive or negative values. Usually the initial and the final values are represented by whole columns, while the intermediate values are denoted by floating columns. The columns are color-coded for distinguishing between positive and negative values.

A waterfall chart can visualize the difference between the list price of a product and the final pocket price with all the intermediate discounts, promotions and costs. An analysis based on the waterfall chart can help you identify the biggest leaks from the base or list price and increase your revenue.

To access a Waterfall chart, go to Analytics > Data Analyzer > Waterfall. The first tab Waterfall Chart contains the result chart. The second tab Series 1 contains the data that is shown in the chart.
