Detailed Time Series Chart

The Detailed Time Series chart is similar to the Time Series Chart.

The main difference is:

  • The scale. The Detailed Time Series chart displays continuous time on the X-axis. Values can be displayed per as little as one second, therefore price changes during a day, hour etc. can be shown, which is handy for example for e-commerce. The Time Series chart, can display values only per day at the minimum, so it is more suitable for B2B implementations.

Other differences are:

  • There are two additional types which you can use for this chart: Area and Area Spline.

  • You cannot have embedded Boxplot charts here (unlike the Time Series charts).

  • The 'Comparison' combo-box works similarly as in the Bar & Line chart.
(warning) As per the Legacy Comparison Mode explanation for the Time Series chart, comparing series in this way may lead to misalignment of dates. It should only be used if all series return 'time period gapless' data series.

For details about how to load an existing chart, set the common chart options, auxiliary lines or how to zoom, see the Common Chart Settings page.
