Security and Permissions
Access to specific parts of the application is controlled by permissions, assigned to a individual user or to a group. There are two types of permissions:
Global permissions – To perform admin operations (such as manage users, templates, global alerts) and to provide access to the Overview sections (Accounts, Nodes, Servers, Partitions etc.).Â
Account permissions – To see a specific customer and to be able to perform specific actions for this account (related to partitions or integration instances).
See a complete list of permissions.
Where to Set Permissions
If you are a global administrator, you can use the following sections in regards to permissions setup:
In Administration:
Users – For each user you can set both global and account permissions.
You can assign the global permissions also by adding the user to a user group.ÂUser Groups – For each group you can set global permissions.
In Marketplace:
Templates Management – For each template (Accelerator / Package/ Integration Template) you can set its visibility and who can deploy it. For details see Templates Permissions.
If you are an account administrator, you have the following options for permissions setup:
Account User Rights – Here you can set the account permissions for users / user groups related to the account (its partitions and integrations instances).Â
To make this task easier, you can use:Asset groups (predefined set of partitions and integrations instances of the given account)
Business roles (predefined set of account permissions)
Assignment of some permissions can be subject to approval workflow. For details see Workflows Tab.
