Notifications on Concurrent Editing
Pricefx notifies users if there are multiple editors modifying the same Quote / Agreement / Promotion / Rebate Agreement at the same time. The status is shown by a button in the header. Its possible states are:
Button | Description |
---|---|
No other concurrent editor; the quote/agreement does not have a newer version on the server. | |
There are concurrent editors (their number is indicated) and they have made changes to the quote/agreement locally. | |
The quote/agreement has a newer version on the server. | |
The quote/agreement was deleted from the server. | |
The information on concurrent editing is not available due to a network error. |
To learn more, you can click the button to view who the other editors are and when they were active. The status is by default checked every 30 seconds. By "editing" we understand making local changes to the vital properties of the Quote / Agreement / Promotion/ Rebate Agreement (such as adding line items, changing calculation results or recalculating).
When you try to save a quote/agreement which was edited by someone else in the meantime, you have the following options in the Save dialog:
View the latest version
Discard your changes
Cancel (then you can still preserve your changes locally)
The recommended flow is:
Open the latest version from the server.
Add the changes from your local version.
Save it.
