How to Create an Agreement/Promotion
Before you start creating Agreements/Promotions, make sure you have the following components ready:
Customer and product master
Calculation logic – Calculates the line items of the Agreement/Promotion.
Agreements & Promotions Types – Determine the logic for the Agreement/Promotion and, in parameters, provide context to the calculation of the line items.
Typically, also an approval workflow.
To create an Agreement/Promotion, follow these steps:
On the Agreements & Promotions list page, click the New Agreement/Promotion button.
On the Header tab, fill in the basic Agreement/Promotion information.
On the Items tab, add items (Agreement & Promotion Types) to the Agreement/Promotion by:
Clicking Add Items and typing the product name into the search field. This is a good method when you are adding just a few items.
Clicking Browse Items, setting up a quick or advanced filter and adding the items all at once.
Importing items from a spreadsheet by copy & paste. This procedure is similar to importing products to Quotes.
Still on the Items tab, enter the required input parameters – either on folder or item level.
Add attachments, if required.
Save and submit the Agreement/Promotion.
