From Actionable Insights to Pricefx Agents

Actionable Insights was delivered as an Accelerator that helped detect risks and opportunities in transactional, customer, and pricing data, and then created follow‑up Actions for users. It was built around two main building blocks:

• Watcher – Regularly scans data, applies alert conditions, and creates Actions when conditions are met (Datamart / Simulation Datamart / Rollup / Optimization Model sources; including dashboard-based watchers).

• Action – Task created by a Watcher, assigned to a user, with supporting context such as dashboards and notes; surfaced on the Actions page and via notifications.

In the current architecture, the same pattern is provided by Pricefx Agents:

• Agent – Successor to the Watcher concept; regularly scans data sources using defined detection rules and creates Actions when alert conditions are met.

• Action – Still the unit of work assigned to users, created automatically by Agents or manually from dashboards, Analytics, or Copilot.

• Action Plan – Continues to act as a “wrapper” that groups related Actions together (unchanged conceptually between Actionable Insights and Agents).

Pricefx Agents also introduce:

• An event‑based architecture powered by Watcher technology under the hood, with alerts and recommendations surfaced directly in UI workflows, email, and Copilot.

• A guided Agent Generator and curated agents to speed up setup and time‑to‑value.
