Premise
You are working as part of a team from either Pricing, Financial, Sales, or Sales Ops with the need to centralize control over your rebate agreements and their role in identifying margin leakage.
Desired Outcome
The goal is to get your rebate agreements under full control and replace margin leakage with profit growth. Additionally, we need the ability to define, calculate, execute and maintain rebate agreements, all in one place, with the capability to leverage predefined rebate types, agreement output templates, and utilize automated approval workflows.Â
Context and Background
Your organization uses rebates to create incentives within your B2B sales channels to increase overall sales. The impact of future rebate payments, in alignment with your rebate agreements, on a particular quote for a customer needs to be identified to determine the actual gross margin values. The ability to estimate future rebate payments for customers can be a key metric for improved profitability. Â
Problem
The ability to quickly and efficiently create and administer rebate agreements and define their assignment to particular customers and products is either missing or is a manual process. Additionally, the determination of rebate allocations for individual quotes to build the waterfall diagram necessary to correctly identify pocket price and gross margin is a separate process. Without being able to calculate the rebate portion at this level we are unable to get an accurate value for gross margin.Â
