Mass Editing
If you need to update many records at once, you can use the mass edit feature:
Prepare a list of items to be changed. You can:
Edit all items in the table.
Apply a simple or advanced filter – for details see Filtering.
Use the checkboxes to select individual items for mass edit.
Click the Mass Edit button above the table if you want to edit all or filtered items.
Or use the Mass Edit button below the table if you want to edit only selected items.
The manual selection has priority over an applied filter, i.e., if you use a filter and then select several items, you will only be able to edit the selected items – the button above the table disappears.
Selection of items for mass delete works in the same way.In the Mass Edit dialog, select the Attribute to edit from the drop-down list.
From the Change drop-down list, select how the value will be updated.
Enter the Value which will be used in the update.
If you enter the value manually, Pricefx validates whether the new values correspond to the predefined options (if there are any).
All selected records will be changed. Changes cannot be undone. In the Precision column, you can set the number of decimal places for the result. The calculation result will be rounded to the specified number of decimal places and saved in the database. Non-customizable mathematical rounding is used. If enabled by the admin, the default number of decimals is preselected depending on the corresponding data type.
If needed, you can add another column for mass edits by clicking Add Attribute and repeating the above steps.
Click Edit to confirm the changes.
Note:
In the Company Parameters tables, the mass update is possible only for attributes (i.e., not for key columns).
In the Price List table, only one attribute can be edited at a time.
In the Price Records table, you can mass update also attribute extensions (see Customize Columns).
When mass editing Override fields (like Offsets, Manual Override, etc.) in LPGs, mass edit returns a String (and ignores the column formatting).
When mass editing fields which are part of business key, make sure you do not create duplicates (as this is not checked by the system).
When mass editing a Quote, Rebate, Contract, or Sales Compensation line item, you can also mass edit input fields within the Configurator. Please note that when you leave the Configurator’s input field value in the Mass Edit dialog empty, it does get erased.
