Defining Prescriptive Delivery

Introduction

Prescriptive Delivery represents a novel project implementation approach by Pricefx, emphasizing the achievement of the initial Go-Live within a timeframe of fewer than six months.

The key principle dictates that all essential groundwork must be finished prior to the finalization of the Statement of Work (SOW). Following the drafting of the SOW, no additional discussions or revisions should be necessary.

Difference from Legacy Methodology

The main difference from the traditional approach is that, in the legacy methodology, we start by outlining requirements broadly (at the epic level) and then focus on specifics (user stories) later in the project. In contrast, with this new approach, we thoroughly discuss the details during requirements workshops before finalizing the Statement of Work (SOW). This proactive approach helps us speed up the implementation process and achieve a quicker time-to-value upon delivery.

The Prescriptive Delivery approach includes 2 types of the projects.

3-month Foundational Phase Project

The objective is to deliver Pricefx standard Analytics – Sales Insights (SIP), Customer Insights (CIP), and Plasma, which includes automated inbound integration of Customer Master, Product Master, and Transactions, along with the Plasma file (comprehensive waterfall in a single file). This initiative should be regarded as a foundational project (Phase 0 or Foundation Phase) preceding any non-prescriptive project phase.

6-month Prescriptive Delivery Project

This project follows a prescriptive approach based on Industry Catalogue items within a timeframe of less than six months. It will be revised according to selected use-cases (PDR - Prescriptive Design Requirements) finalized during the pre-sales phase. Distinct from a non-prescriptive staffing plan, it is specifically designed for executing the PDR use cases.
