Segmentation Configuration (POP)

Create New Model

  1. Navigate to Optimization  Pricing Guidance  Models and create a new model with Model Type Segmentation.

  2. Set the parameters of the Definition step.

  3. Set up the source of data.

     

  4. You can also define a filter if you do not want to analyze the whole data set.

     

  5. Save the model.

Check Data Profile

  1. Navigate to Analysis > Data Profile.

  2. Click Calculate.

  3. Wait for the calculation to finish.

  4. Maximize the Data Profile section (or export it as Excel) and review the stats of the dimensional columns to identify good candidates.

Set up Price Drivers

  1. Navigate to Analysis > Price Drivers.

  2. Based on the findings, set up the Eligible Dimensions.

     

  3. Click Calculate.

  4. Wait for the calculation to finish.

  5. Review the results.

Set up Segmentation

  1. Navigate to Calculation  Segmentation.

  2. Select your Segmentation Method.

    • If you used Manual Attribute Selection, then also select Segmentation Levels.

  3. Click Calculate.

  4. Wait for the calculation to finish.

  5. Review the results.

Calculate Scoring

  1. Navigate to Calculation  Scoring.

  2. Click Calculate.

Calculate Pricing

  1. Navigate to Calculation  Pricing.

  2. Click Calculate.

Update Optimization Realization Data

This step is important for the Optimization Realization Dashboard to work correctly. This step also generates the OptimizationRealizationSource table.

  1. Navigate to Calculation  Update Optimization Realization Data.

  2. Set up the Parameters.

  3. Click Calculate.

Review Tables

Before navigating to the Optimization Realization Dashboard, quickly review the generated tables and their data. To do so, click Tables.

Sometimes the number of rows reported next to table name is not refreshed immediately after calculation, so make sure you select/click the name of the table to see its data.
