General Chart Settings
The following general chart properties can be defined:
Default aggregation function – Sets the default function that will be preselected in the Expression field of the Aggregation Expression dialog.
Use UTC time – If checked, the UTC time is used for axis scaling. The advantage of using UTC is that the time displays equally, regardless of the user time zone settings. Use the local time when correct Daylight Saving Time transitions are required.
Embedded Box Plot color – Defines a color for all Box Plot series which get embedded in another series (e.g., when showing Box Plots in Time series). Use a color easily distinguishable from all other series' colors which is still suitable for white backgrounds.
Series colors – Defines default colors for the chart's series. When all colors are used, new colors are pulled from the start again.
Waterfall series colors – Defines colors for the waterfall or waterfall comparison charts' series. When all colors are used, colors of the last series are reused.
Heatmap interpolated color axis colors – Defines the min and max colors for the interpolated color axis.
Chart's boost threshold – Defines the boost mode threshold for Highcharts. If the number of data points is higher than this value, the boost mode will be triggered to ensure good UI performance. As a consequence, some features, such as drilldown or exclude, will not be supported. Additionally, a warning message will be displayed on the screen to inform the user about this fact. The default value is 5000. See the Boost Module section in Highcharts documentation.
Global Highcharts styling options – If you want to ensure that all Highcharts generated in Analytics have a consistent look and feel, you can create a global Highcharts theme definition, which customizes fonts, colors and other rendering options. For more information and definition examples, see the Highcharts documentation.
Global Highcharts Styling options default to a configuration which does not work in the Ember version (the "old" version) of Quotes, Agreements/Promotions, Rebate Agreements and Dashboards. The default setting is applied even if the user makes no changes here, only clicks Save. To avoid this problem, these styling options are by default not applied to Ember pages. If you want them to be applied, enable the feature flag 'enableHighchartsThemeInEmber'.
To change a color, use the color picker or directly enter an HTML code.
Default colors are preset. You can reset the colors to default by clicking Load Original Colors or Reset Colors. Click the Refresh icon to go back to the saved color.
If you want to prevent certain variables from being selected by users as measures or dimensions in the chart, you can mark them as hidden in DataSource.
