This document summarizes major improvements and fixes introduced in the Pricefx Unity release version.

The Main Features Since the Last Public Release

Since the last public release, Vesper 6.0, the following major new features have been introduced:

Enhancements of PriceOptimizerAI - embedded dashboards, market simulation (beta) and simplified workflow for combining the PriceOptimizer and optimization engine models.
LargeDealOptimizer with new functions like an option to duplicate plans, automate operation of related documents and improved approval workflow. The Actions set for a deal plan can now also send notifications to the assignees.
Option to use QuoteConfigurator 2.0 (beta). This new version comes with an enhanced and more intuitive user interface. One of the upcoming features you will be able to enjoy is one combined view for line items (instead of Tree View, Table View and Simple Table View). Complete set of features of the new version will be available during the next months.
Approval workbench in Live Price Grids - options to filter down the line items and approve all of them at once.
Dashboard improvements – new and better looking design, user preferences for dashboard filters, inclusion of home screen portlets into the dashboard (Pending approvals, Quick Search, Tasks, …).
A fixed header in Product and Customer pickers, including availability of quick search of line items in the Tree View or sorting of line items in Simple Table View.
Simplification of revision numbering for Quotes.

Dashboards

The saved view preferences for Dashboards now contain also:
- Not just the size and position of portlets but also customizations of tables (sorting, filtering, etc.) inside all the individual portlets.
- Values entered by the user in Dashboard inputs.
You can set any of your dashboards as default meaning that this dashboard will be loaded every time you access the Dashboards page. This setting can be changed by making some other dashboard the default one or reset to the blank page again.
A global default dashboard can be set for all users in the partition. This dashboard will be loaded when users open the Dashboards page. Global dashboard can be set by user with the General Admin, Manage Dashboards or Edit Global Preferences roles.
System portlets (that you know from the Home page) can be added to Dashboards - they are available for selection from the Add Portlet drop-down list.
New DashboardController.addLink() calls similar to existing DashboardController.addButton() have been added. Also constants defining the available target pages have been added, with documentation in a new AppPages interface.

PriceAnalyzer

The list tables of Price Lists, Manual Price Lists and Live Price Grids can be exported to Excel.

PriceBuilder

New “Header Type” column is available in the LPG list table displaying the name and label of the selected type. You can change the type in-line and use the values in advanced filters.
In Price List / LPG header, individual sections defined by the header logic can be hidden/displayed using a drop-down menu in the UI.
The new Mass Action button in LPG detail view allows you to run a workflow action (submit, withdraw, approve, deny) for all records at once or for a set of records defined by a filter with the possibility to add a comment. At the same time, it is no longer possible to change the Approval State of items using the Mass Edit feature.

QuoteConfigurator

The Quote detail page is now available also in React version. Enable the feature flag useReactFor.quoteDetail if you want to try it out.
You can make the Messages tab read-only if you allow in the Quote Type configuration editing only by specific user groups. For example, "userGroupEdit": "sales_managers" makes the tab read-only to all users that do not belong to the sales_managers group.

PriceOptimizer

We have introduced customizable portlets for price optimization.
The workflow related to price optimization has been simplified. Now it consists only of three steps making the definition of related optimization criteria much more intuitive.

A PriceAnalyzer logic can be run when rendering a chart and the logic output can be used to define the auxiliary line.

Data import, export and archiving can be configured in Unity.
You can hide the "Mark offer as lost" button on the Quote list and detail pages. Use the method setRenderInfo("markAsLost","hide",true) in the header logic.
You can hide the Attachments button on Quote, Contract or Rebate Agreements list and detail pages. Use the method setRenderInfo("attachmentsButton","hide",true) in the header logic.
You can hide the Export XLSX button on Quote, Contract or Rebate Agreement list and detail pages. Use the method setRenderInfo("exportXLSXButton","hide",true) in the header logic.
You can hide the Export DOCX button on Quote, Contract or Rebate Agreement list and detail pages. Use the method setRenderInfo("exportDOCXButton","hide",true) in the header logic.
Configurations of Rebate Chart Definition, Product Query Chart Definition, Customer Query Chart Definition, Dashboard Admin and Configuration Wizard are now opened for editing on a new browser tab.
The name of the loaded remote configuration is displayed in the User menu > Settings.
The labels in the Rebate Chart Definition, Product Query Chart Definition and Customer Query Chart Definition lists are now clickable taking you directly to the chart definition where you can make changes.
It is possible to set a URL to which single sign-on users will be redirected after logout. Enable the new feature flag 'useCustomLogoutURL' and set the required URL in the 'customLogoutURL' feature flag.

Administration

User Admin: Product/customer filters for users can be defined in Unity.
In the User Group Admin you can now assign multiple users to a user group at once.

General

The partition name can be displayed on the browser tab so that you can always see to which partition you are logged in. It can be enabled/disabled in General Settings for all users or via User menu > Settings for individual users.
A global search field has been added to the tree view on the Items tab of the Quote, Contract and Rebate Agreement detail page.
Input Matrix tables can now be opened in a large pop-up window for easier editing.
The fist and last name of a user is displayed instead of the login name in tables throughout the application where a user is indicated (in columns like Created By, Updated By, etc.). This makes it easier to identify the user as the login name doesn't always contain the user's actual name.
The pattern of Quote / Contract / Rebate Agreement revision names has changed. The version number is now in a suffix and a user defined string can be inserted between the document's name and the version suffix.
On the Items tab of Quote, Contract and Rebate Agreement detail page (Ember version), the options for adding a product (Browse, Import/Export, Add Recommended Items) have been grouped under the Add Items drop-down menu.
The Settings, My Pending Approvals and My Pending Creation Workflow pages have been converted to the React version.
Portlets (on Home, Dashboards, Product and Customer Detail pages) can now be opened in a pop-up window which is handy when you want to display more data without the need to scroll.
A link to the Unity UI is now displayed in the Classic UI (a banner at the top of the page and an item in the User menu). It can be switched on/off in General Settings but the link is no longer configurable - it always points to the Unity version of the current partition.
Users can now submit their feedback about the Pricefx application via the new User menu item. Besides a text feedback, users can also attach files (images, documents) that help explain their idea.
For new partitions, the React version of Quote, Contract and Rebate Agreement detail page is displayed by default. Also, the simple table view is selected by default.

PriceAnalyzer

In the Datamart and Data Source data tab or in Datamart Viewer, the table displays by default only up to 12 columns with the following priority: fields that have a function (e.g. key, alt-key), fields that are dimensions and then all other fields up to the limit.
A new graphical design of the header part of PriceAnalyzer pages has been introduced.
New graphical design has been introduced for PriceAnalyzer Rollups and Data Analyzer.
New graphical design has been introduced for Data Manager pages.

PriceBuilder

The ID of the Price List, LPG, Manual Price List and Simulation is displayed alongside its name in the breadcrumb navigation on the detail page.
Live Price Grids: Values in the Header Type column can be used for filtering. Supported operators work in the column's quick filter, Header Type column is also available for selection in advanced filters.
The Price List Summary page has a new graphical design.
There is a new graphical design of the side panel in the Set Parameters step in new Price List creation process.
The Mass Workflow button in the LPG detail has been renamed to Mass Action.

LargeDealOptimizer

The user name is displayed instead of the login name in the following columns: Assign To, Created By, Last Updated By, Finished By.
Deal Plans can no longer be withdrawn from the status 'Offer' to maintain consistency with other application modules. Plans can be withdrawn only before they are approved, i.e. in the Draft document status.
The JSON definition in the Edit Configuration dialog is now properly formatted for better readability.
Deal Plans awaiting approval now have active links on the Home page (My Pending Approvals portlet) and on the My Pending Approvals and Workflows pages.

Dashboards

You now have the option to see all available cascading filter inputs not just the first input. This means that you can start filtering from any filter input and the available values in all other filters are updated accordingly.
Global dimension, customer and product filters are now supported in charts in Dashboards.
The new resultMatrix method rowSelectionBackEndAction allows you to let users select multiple rows in the result matrix and click an action button that will trigger some action.
The drop-down list of available dashboards is organized by category and it is navigable using the up/down arrow and Enter keys.
Portlets can now be opened in large pop-up windows displaying more data. The minimize and maximize options have been removed.
The Dashboards page has a new graphical design.
The "All Categories" level has been removed from the Dashboard selection drop-down list.

Master Data

In the Product Detail View, there is now a quick filter available for the list of products enabling you to filter by product ID or label.
Data Change Request: A note has been added to the clear changes confirmation dialog informing the user that this action does not apply to mass-edited items.
You can now upload data into Product and Customer Extensions from a CSV, XLSX file directly on the PX/CX pages.
When the user imports data from a file and selects the option 'Override existing data', a warning is displayed informing that all existing data will be deleted and only correct lines for the uploaded file will be added.

Charts

After clicking Refresh, it is now possible to cancel the loading of the chart if you selected wrong inputs by mistake.
You can now create global filters that apply across chart series also for Customers and Products.
When you un-synchronize a global filter, the value of the synchronized filter is applied to the individual series filters.
Global dimension, product and customer filters are saved in the chart definition and are supported also in Dashboards.
The Chart and Data tabs have been moved to the top of the chart canvas as part of the graphical design change.

Tables

The date format in quick filters in advanced tables is now based on the locale.
In Advanced Filters, you can use filter conditions relative to the current date, for example "Yesterday" (current day - 1), "N days from now" etc.

Configuration

The new DashboardApi method openInModalOrRecalculateOn replaces the now deprecated openInWindowOrRecalculateOn method.
In the Formula Builder, in the Command Templates menu there is now a sub-menu for Datamart Fields showing all the aggregation functions available for that field.
The new page AppPages in the API documentation lists constants that are typically used as the targetPage parameter when defining links to jump from a dashboard to other parts of the UI. Only the listed options are supported in Unity.
The DatamartContext.Query method setUseCache that allows you to disable node level PA query caching just for the given query has been made public.
The new property responseDefaultCharset is available for the httpCall method. It determines the character set to be applied if none is found in the HTTP response entity.
The method Matrix2D.getMap now returns a map that preserves the order of the underlying query.

Access Admin: Multi-selection of User Groups is no longer possible.
Overdue ToDo items and Deal Plan actions that are cancelled or finished are no longer highlighted in red color in the table.

General Improvements

In Configurators, the focus stays after automatic reload on the item that has just been edited – you do not have to scroll down from the top input after each edit.
Multiple api.addWarning() calls inside one element are now displayed as separate lines.
The new 'Home' option in the User menu takes you always to the Home page, regardless of the rootPage feature flag settings.
In drop-down lists, the icons representing the option to cancel the value selection and the option to expand the list are now displayed next to each other, not one on the top of the other.
Key-value database storage support for storing large amounts of data. In 7.0., this is a beta/experimental feature and may receive breaking changes in future releases.
You can define whether Output Matrixes should or should not be included in the exported Excel file. This is useful if they, for example, include sensitive information.
You can define which columns should be excluded from the exported Excel file by marking the related logic element as "sensitive".
For implementations running on Redis a new Redis log UI is available. Logging to Redis can be disabled in General Settings for traditional deployments.
Two new functions have been added for the Result Matrix: withColumnFormats and withRows for formatting multiple columns and adding multiple rows at once.
French language version issues with the translation of the terms 'open/opened' has been fixed.
The following User menu items have been renamed: Settings to User Settings, Workflows to My Workflows and My Pending Approvals to My Approvals.
The User Settings page, in the Localization section, now displays information which language the user interface is currently using.,
When submitting a Quote, Contract or Rebate Agreement, the Attach button in the attachment selection dialog is disabled if no attachment is selected.
