Notifications on Concurrent Editing

Unity notifies users if there are multiple editors modifying the same document (e.g., Quote, Agreement/Promotion, Rebate Agreement) at the same time. The editors are indicated by user icons in the header.

To learn more, you can click the icons to view who the other editors are. The status is by default checked every 30 seconds. By editing we understand making local changes to the vital properties of the document (such as adding line items, changing calculation results or recalculating).

When you try to save a document which was edited by someone else in the meantime, the Save button is disabled and a warning message is displayed.

In such a case, the recommended flow is:

1. Open the latest version from the server.

2. Add the changes from your local version.

3. Save it.
