Home Page

Home page is the application's landing page which displays after login for all users. It can also be displayed after clicking the Pricefx logo in the left-hand top corner or in the module menu. You can set some other page as your homepage – see below.

The Home page consists of portlets that can be freely added or removed depending on what kind of information you want to see. By default, the Home page contains all the available portlets. Portlet availability depends on your entitlements.
If there are many portlets on the canvas, making the content difficult to read, you can open a portlet in a pop-up window by selecting the option Open in Dialog in the 3 Dots menu.

The following portlets can be displayed:

Product Quick Search – Displays documents that contain a certain product. You can type part-id or label of a product for a quick search through all directly related objects (Price Lists, Live Price Grids, Quotes, Manual Price Lists – but not Rebate Agreements or Agreements & Promotions). You need to enter at least four characters to activate the search – this limit helps you get a more manageable number of search results.
My Dashboards – All dashboards you can access. Dashboards are organized in a folder structure based on their Category. If you click the label of a dashboard, a new tab with the respective dashboard will open.
My Charts – All saved charts that you can access. Charts are organized in folders to which they have been added on save. If you click a chart in the list, a new tab with the chart opens.
My Claims – All claims that you are entitled to see or edit. Click the Name or Label to display the claim's details.
My ToDo List – All tasks assigned to you by the system (or other users). If there is a link, you can click the Item column and a new tab with the item will open. See how to make this section always displayed (even if it is empty).
My Actions – All pending actions assigned to you. You can edit the action or change its status from this portlet. Click the Name or Summary to open the action's detail.
My Pending Approvals – All objects you need to approve. Click the Name or Label to display the document details.
In the Approval Delegation column, the possible values are:
- Delegated – Approval tasks originally assigned to other user that have been delegated to you.
- None – Approval tasks assigned directly to you – no delegation.
- Combined – Approval tasks that are both assigned to you and have been delegated to you by other user (when multiple approvers are assigned).
My Pending Creation Workflows – All draft documents requiring your input. See the section Document Creation Workflow.
Document Quick Links – Displays links to various document types (Price Lists, Live Price Grids, Quotes, Agreements & Promotions). After clicking a link, new browser tab opens displaying the list page of the selected document type (only documents that the user is entitled to see are visible).
Price Lists – A list of all Price Lists. Click the Name of a Price List that you are entitled to view to display its details.
Price Grids – A list of all Live Price Grids. Click the Label of an LPG that you are entitled to view to display its details.
Rebate Agreements – A list of all Rebate Agreements. Click the Name or Label of a Rebate Agreement that you are entitled to view to display its details.
Agreements & Promotions – A list of all Agreements & Promotions. Click the Name or Label of an Agreement/Promotion that you are entitled to view to display its details.
Quotes – A list of all Quotes. Click the Name or Label of a Quote that you are entitled to view to display its details.
Compensation Plans – A list of all Compensation Plans. Click the Name or Label of a Compensation Plan that you are entitled to view to display its details.

Preferences

When you have your Home page configuration ready, save it as a new View Preference. The preference will include the following customizations:

Size or position of portlets.
All table customizations (column order and size, hidden columns, sorting, filtering, etc.).

Click the Home Screen Options icon to open the preference management menu.

In the menu, you can:

Save your customizations as a new preference.
Update the currently selected preference with your changes.
Reset to the currently selected preference as it has been last saved.
Manage the saved preferences (choose your default preference or delete the unnecessary ones).

If you are not happy with your layout changes, click the Refresh icon to return to the default Home page definition.

Set Your Own Start Page

If you want to display some other page as your landing page, go to Administration > Feature Flags and change the value of the rootPage flag. For a list of possible options see the Access Routes section.

When you change the landing page, you can still access the Home page from the User menu.
