Configuration Overview (Approval Workflow)
This article contains an overview of all the configuration possibilities for an Approval Workflow.
Logics
Approval Workflow Logic - to build the approval steps for the document.
Approval Workflow Post Step Logic - to do special processing after each approval step.
Configuration
In case of Quote, Rebate Agreement and Record, the Workflow logic is selected on Quote Type or Rebate Agreement Type. For more information see the page Approval Workflow Logic.
Configuration of such Type must be then fetched from the partition and stored as part of the project.
Advanced Configuration Options
There are many options, which can be set up in Configuration pages under Administration › Configuration and influence behavior of the application.
Values of those options are then stored in Advanced Configuration Options, which can be fetched to the project configuration files.
Feature Flags
Feature flags are settings in key-value form, which influences the application’s front-end behavior and appearance.
To change them, navigate to Administration › Feature Flags.
Once modified, feature flags values are stored in advanced configuration option crm_config
.
The Feature Flags (Approval Workflow) page contains a list of feature flags related to Approval Workflow.
Email Templates
Many user actions during the processing of an approval workflow trigger sending of email messages to approvers, the submitter, etc.
These messages can be modified in Administration › Configuration › Templates › Message Templates and then fetched into project files (using Studio) and stored in a version control system.
See more about Message Templates.
Workflow Delegation
If an approver leaves for vacation, they can delegate their approval responsibilities to another person.
