Once a major release date has passed and the customer’s environment has been deemed to be non-compliant with the Pricefx N-1 policy, they will enter a Grace Period phase. During this 30-day period, immediately after a major release, the customer will be encouraged to present a plan for a timely upgrade of their environment to N-1 compliance.

These are the potential outcomes from the Grace Period:

  • No Upgrade Plan: if no upgrade plan is presented by the customer at the end of the Grace Period, then within 30 days of the expiration of the Grace Period the following will occur:

    • QA environment will be automatically upgraded to the N-1 compliant version (as the Pricefx support schedule allows it).

    • After QA upgrade, within 30 days, the PROD environment will be automatically upgraded to the N-1 compliant version (as Pricefx support schedule allows it).

  • Upgrade Plan Provided: if an upgrade plan is presented by the customer within the Grace Period, then the following will occur:

    • The upgrade plan will be reviewed by the Pricefx support team for timeliness and accuracy.

    • The customer will be provided with a selection of dates for scheduling the upgrade. If no date is selected, then the Pricefx support will determine the upgrade timing.

    • The upgrade will be performed on QA environment. 30 days later the PROD environment gets upgraded.

NOTE: Grace Period during summer months will be longer than 30 days due to limited resources of the Pricefx DevOps team. Double check with Pricefx team for more details.
