It can be used by customers for testing during Feature Sprints and User Acceptance Testing (UAT). The tool offers benefits such as easily visible test cases linked to user stories, easy monitoring of testing progress, improved communication about testing activities for project managers and customers, and easier UAT monitoring.

  • X-Ray is a test management tool in JIRA used by QA Analysts on Customer Solutions projects

Configuration

  • As X-Ray is a plug-in in JIRA, it needs a simple configuration which can’t be done automatically by IT department

  • The configuration is very simple and it will take about 1 minute

  • Just do the following steps or send a link to project board to @Milan Poláček

  • Go to: Project Settings - > Apps - > Xray Settings

  • Set Test Coverage and Defect Mapping based on pictures below - note that you need to Save the configuration manually - Save button is at the bottom of the page
