Types of Data Change Requests

For selected object types (such as Products, Customers, Parameters) you can make changes in a controlled way: define what objects can be changed, send these changes through an approval workflow and keep a record of the changes. This is done through Data Change Requests (DCR).

To create a new type for DCR:

1. Go to Administration > Configuration > Master Data > Types of Data Change Requests.

2. Click the Add button.

   1. Enter a Name and Label.

   2. Select the Target Object Type from the drop-down menu. There are the following types available:

      • Parameters (also of the JSON type)

      • Product

      • Product Extensions (DCR for PX50 can be created but only the first 30 columns can be edited in a DCR.)

      • Customer

      • Customer Extensions (DCR for CX50 can be created but only the first 30 columns can be edited in a DCR.)

      • Manual Pricelist

   3. Depending on the chosen object type, select the right Parameter, Category or Manual Price List.

   4. Click the Save button.

3. Optionally, assign the view permissions to a user group.
