Is it possible to get email about required approval for PGI if there is no approval workflow?

Is it possible to send/receive an email about a required approval for a Price Grid item if there is no approval workflow? One of our customers does not use any workflow for LPG, only the auto-approve feature, and they would like to be notified about price grid items that have not been auto-approved.

Answer

That functionality does not exist. The whole point of auto-approval is to eliminate the "heavy" workflow (which includes the email functionality).
