22-11 - SFTP Migration
In IntegrationManager 3.8/4.0, a new, more stable and reliable way to work with built-in SFTP was introduced. The aim was to replace local SFTP instances (per IM) and introduce a single, centrally managed SFTP service across all IMs.
All new Integration instances (version 4.0 and higher) are created with a new SFTP solution. Earlier versions need to go through a migration step where some manual adjustment to your integration is needed.
The migration will go as follows:
You have IM version 3.8 (transition version) available for upgrade.
Once you complete the upgrade to 3.8, a new SFTP server will be automatically created and your instance can use both SFTP servers (the one it already had, and the new one).
Migrate to the new SFTP solution:
Change your SFTP connection. There is a new connection automatically created for you named default-sftp-connection-new.
Replace connections in your routes.
Switch your ERP (or other) communication to the new SFTP server.
After the migration is completed, you can upgrade your Integration instance to version 4.0 and continue to upgrade onwards. The old SFTP server will be automatically deleted.
