Overview (DRM)

Overview

Data Readiness Management (DRM) is a process designed to help customers provide accurate, representative data that is available in the Pricefx system at the start of the solution configuration. it is a process that starts EARLY with the identification of data sources, systems, processes, and owners of data needed for the pricing solution.

It then involves the preparation and transfer of the initial representative data to the solution platform and it begins before the solution configuration starts!

Purpose

To proactively advise and manage data readiness activities with the Customer from Pre-sales through the Setup Sprint to ensure the successful project starts, eliminate data-related project delays, and experience fast time-to-value.

Guiding Principle

Data must be complete, high-quality and available BEFORE the first Configuration Sprint begins.

Benefits

The benefits of DRM are:

  • Minimize configuration delays due to unavailable, incomplete or inconsistent data

  • Minimize rework as user stories are configured with representative data

  • Involve team members from all necessary parts of the organization

  • Plan for data availability lead times

  • Take advantage of available time before the project kickoff to best position the project for success

Data Readiness Defined

What is it that makes the data “ready” to be used as part of a pricing solution implementation?  We consider Data Readiness to be composed of three primary components as illustrated by this formula:

Data Readiness = Data Identification + Data Quality + Data Availability
