For analytical tasks, Actionable Insights is an effective tool that allows to create and assign tasks right away from the analytical screen.
The main features of Actionable Insights provide significant benefits for the business user. These features include time-based scheduling, allowing for the timely execution of tasks and actions. Additionally, the risk/opportunity detection feature enables the identification of potential risks and opportunities, empowering users to make informed decisions. The alert-based actions feature, which includes data threshold alert, time periods comparison, and segment comparison, allows users to set up alerts based on specific criteria, ensuring proactive response to critical data changes.
The setup of follow-up actions and alert notifications ensures that users can take immediate action based on the insights received, enhancing operational efficiency. The Actions section on the Home page provides a centralized location for users to manage and track their actions, streamlining workflow management. The connection to the Notification Center allows for seamless integration with the notification system, ensuring that users stay informed about important events and updates. Lastly, the creation of Actions/Problem detections from Dashboards allows users to directly translate insights from dashboards into actionable tasks, facilitating a more proactive and responsive approach to business operations.
The basic building blocks of Actionable Insights are Watchers and Actions. A Watcher’s job is to detect trends in data defined by a set of rules. If a trend is detected, Watchers automatically create predefined Actions and assign them to users. Users can see these Actions on the Home page or the Actions page.
