Actionable Insights Overview

Actionable Insights is designed for proactive business opportunity and risk detection. It allows for continuous identification of gaps and opportunities, enabling users to choose the most suitable course of action. The system offers a user-oriented setup for detecting "patterns" based on various criteria such as data thresholds, date ranges, or segment comparisons.

It includes a framework of rules, alerts, and follow-up actions, ensuring that the person responsible for responding (the assignee) can decide on the necessary optimal action.

Enhancements for Clover Club

Additionally, in the Clover Club release there are new enhancements to the system:

  • Data-driven detection capabilities can be integrated with dashboards specifically for Sales and Customer Insights.

  • Actionable Insights now supports all analytical charts.

  • It can utilize data from any Datamart or Optimization outputs.

  • Actionable Insights now features a built-in Visual Configurator which allows users to create measures using a drag-and-drop editor, simplifying the process of measure creation and customization.

Watchers and Actions in Dashboards

Actionable Insights-Dashboard Watcher.jpg

NOTE: This is a screenshot of a dashboard related to sales and customer insights. It features a scatter plot titled "Products Revenue and Margin %," which is part of the "Per Product Category Chart." The chart visualizes the relationship between revenue (on the horizontal axis) and margin percentage (on the vertical axis) for various products, each represented by colored dots.

Also, in the upper right corner we see the options for Create Action and Create Watcher, these options allow the business users to initiate these specific tasks or monitoring actions directly from the dashboard.

In the Clover Club release, the Watchers and Actions can now be created directly from within the Pricefx dashboards, using the contextual details, data, and settings present. Additionally these Actions and their Assignees can be set based on additional rules, such as differentiating assignees by levels of revenue or margin. This implies a level of automation or customization in how the dashboard can be used to manage sales and customer interactions, potentially enabling users to respond more dynamically to the data presented.

Key take aways from the Clover Club upgrade:

  • Actions and their Assignees can be added based on additional rules (e.g., assignee differentiation by different levels of revenue or margin).

  • Watchers and Actions can now be created directly from within Sales and Customer Insights Dashboards

  • Contextual details, data and settings from the Dashboards are used to create an Action or Watcher

UPGRADE VALUE: This enhancement will provide users with real-time, relevant information and alerts that enable them to make informed decisions and take necessary actions based on the insights derived from the data.

Create Watchers in Multiple Ways

Actionable Insights-Dashboard Upgrades.jpg

NOTE: The illustration above describes the three different methods to create "Watchers," which are designed for monitoring or tracking certain types of data or insights.

Here are the three methods for the creation of Watchers:

  • Dashboard Insights: This method allows users to create Watchers directly from Sales and Customer Insights Dashboards. It emphasizes the use of applied filters and settings, suggesting that users can customize the data they want to monitor based on specific dashboard configurations.

NEW: The dashboard insights option for creating Watchers is NEW in Clover Club.

  • Analytical Charts: Users can also create Watchers from within analytical charts. This implies that the charts themselves can be used as a starting point for setting up a Watcher, likely allowing users to focus on specific trends or data points that are visually represented in the charts.

NEW: The Analytical Charts option for creating Watchers is NEW in Clover Club.

  • Datamart Data: The third method involves creating Watchers from a selection of Datamart data. It includes an option to join the data for advanced analytics, indicating that users have the ability to combine datasets or perform more complex analyses when setting up their Watchers.

Once a Watcher detects something of interest through any of these three methods, there are mechanisms in place for users to take action based on those insights, whether it's to capitalize on an opportunity or to address a potential risk.

UPGRADE VALUE: Through these enhancements of allowing different methods to create watchers, users can customize their monitoring and alerting processes to suit their specific business needs and operational preferences.

Watchers and Actions in Charts

Actionable Insights-Chart Actions.jpg

This new feature for Actionable Insights in Clover Club illustrates called "Watchers and Actions in Charts," which appears to be part of a data visualization or business intelligence software. The key points highlighted are:

  1. There are new menu items to create Actions or Watchers directly from the chart interface. This functionality allows users to pass contextual details, data, and settings from the chart to set up a Watcher or configure Actions. This could be a way to automate certain tasks or alerts based on the data visualized in the chart.

  2. It mentions the capability to add assignees based on additional rules, such as differentiating assignees by country. This suggests a level of customization and automation in task delegation or alert notifications, which can be particularly useful in collaborative environments or systems with complex organizational structures.

  3. The feature is available for all analytical chart types, indicating that it is not limited to a specific type of data visualization but can be applied across various chart formats (e.g., bar, line, pie charts).

The accompanying images show a user interface with options like "Create," "Load Chart," "Save Chart," "Change Chart Type," and "Export XLS." There's also a visual representation of a pie chart with different series labeled, which seems to be an example of the kind of chart where Watchers and Actions could be applied.

In summary, this feature enhances the interactivity and functionality of charts by allowing users to create context-sensitive actions and notifications, and it is designed to be flexible across different chart types and user-defined rules.

UPGRADE VALUE: By offering real-time monitoring and alerting capabilities directly within the visual context of charts, this feature allows users to quickly identify important insights and take immediate actions based on the data, leading to more informed decision-making and proactive management.
