Overview

At the feature level, we are narrowing the contextual understanding of the category of features that comprise the bulk of abilities that are employed by business users and technical developers. At this level, we separate these features into multiple categories as described below. These categories (ie. functions, analytics, etc.) allow chatbot users to build prompt queries that will work in concert with the GenAI engine to identify and correlate all relevant content.

The information for each of these capabilities will include their capacity for customization, configuration, extensibility, scalability, security, and overall effectiveness in addressing our customer's pricing needs and business objectives.

Impact on GenAI

By categorizing the features of a software product, a generative AI system can gain a more structured understanding of the software's capabilities, functionalities, and potential use cases. This categorization can enable the AI system to generate more contextually relevant and accurate responses when queried about specific features or functionalities of the software product.

It enables the GenAI chatbot to better understand and identify all feature-specific queries within an identified capability (ie. quoting, rebates, optimization, etc.) that will lead to a relevant and accurate response from a chatbot.

At this level, we are focusing on the core features for a specific capability within the Pricefx solution:

  • Functions, core capabilities, and functionalities of a capability, like data requirements, primary user abilities, core processes, user interface, reporting, and automation.

  • Analytics, use of analytics and market insights to determine the optimal price for a product or service that balances revenue, demand, and competition.

  • Performance, aspects related to the capabilites of speed, reliability, scalability, and efficiency in executing tasks and handling data in support of core functions and actions.

  • Compatibility, advanced analytics, and reporting capabilities empower businesses to make data-driven decisions, optimize pricing strategies, and drive revenue growth.

  • Customizations, tailoring, and extending the Pricefx software to specific needs and preferences, often through configurable settings, templates, or extensibility options.

  • User Experience, elements and processes related to the a specific Pricefx capabilities usability, accessibility, and overall user interface design to enhance user satisfaction and productivity.

  • Integration, compatibility with other Pricefx capabilities, APIs, and platforms, enabling seamless data exchange and interoperability.

  • Security, ability to protect data, prevent unauthorized access, and ensure compliance with security standards and protocols.

Below are some examples of GenAI prompts that are operating at this Feature level of contextual understanding:

This feature prompt asks the GenAI chatbot to provide information about the Watcher capability’s within the Actionable Insights can improve decision-making. The response might look like this:

This feature prompt asks the GenAI chatbot to identify how Price Optimization integrates with Quoting to generate pricing guidance. The response might look like this:

The Quoting module in Pricefx allows for Price Optimization-driven pricing guidance with quoting. Price Optimization, previously known as PO.AI, is an AI-powered capability within Pricefx that examines market data and other factors to suggest optimal prices for products or services. This information can now be incorporated into the quoting process through the Quoting module's access to the Price Optimization engine.

By utilizing the Optimization model results within the Quoting module, users can receive precise pricing guidance based on current market dynamics, such as competitor pricing and demand fluctuations. This enables users to create quotes that are informed by real-time market data and better reflect the product's value.

The Quoting module also offers negotiation support, enabling users to assess the effects of price modifications based on the Optimization model's results. This capability prompt asks the GenAI chatbot to identify the specific dashboards that are installed with the Customer Insights Accelerator. The response might look like this:

  1. Customer Global View: Displays a summary of customer data across all products and time levels.

  2. Customer Product Portfolio: Provides a detailed view of customer segments and their respective product usage.

  3. Customer Summary: Offers a quick overview of customer data, including revenue, margin, and volume trends.

  4. Detail View: Allows for in-depth analysis of customer data, including time-series analysis and data drill-down.

These dashboards offer various features such as time-series analysis, data drill-down, and classification of customers based on their health scores. Additionally, the accelerator includes new features like Customer Summary portlet and improvement in the Customer Detail View.
