Customer Master Table
Our goal is to use PlatformManager to upload our CSV data into the Products Customer Master Table. First, you’ll need to configure the columns in the Master Table to match column columns in the ProductMaster Customer Master CSV file.
Click on **Master Data | ProductsCustomers
...
2. The
...
Customer master table exists out of the box, but the column names are not matching the names in the
...
Customer Master CSV file. When you hover over the column label, a tooltip will display the name of the column in the back-end database.
...
3. From this table layout, we can see that we have a standard set of defined columns;
...
isParent?, Customer ID,
...
Customer Name, and Last Update
...
. These do not need to be renamed.
4. Additionally, we have some customizable columns that are labeled as Attribute1, Attribute2, etc. These are the user-defined columns and we will rename them to match the incoming columns on our CSV file.
If these attribute columns are not visible, then we need to adjust our preference view via these steps:
In the upper-right corner, click on the Preference icon:
...
Choose Select Fields to Display option, the following will appear:
...
Select Attribute1 thru Attribute12:
...
Click Apply button.
5. Rename the column Attribute1 to
...
AccountGroup
6. Right-click on the label for the Attribute1 column,
...
from the list, select Rename and Customize Columns
...
option:
...
Rename it to “
...
AccountGroup”.
Set the label to
...
“Account Group” and set the type to “String”.
...
Click on Confirm Changes
8. Repeat the steps above for all the other columns in the CSV file using the following assignments:
...
Attribute2 = Business Unit
...
Attribute 2 = Industry (String)
Attribute 3 = City (String)
Attribute 4 =
...
Classification (String)
Attribute 5 =
...
Country (String)
Attribute 6 = Customer type (String)
Attribute 7 = Parent (String)
Attribute 8 = State (String)
Attribute 9 = Top Level Hierarchy (String)
Attribute 10 = Zip (String)
Attribute 11 = Customer segment (String)
Attribute 12 = Region (String)

...
