In this lab exercise, we will illustrate the sequence of events to create a partition, create an IM instance, connect to that instance, connect to Git repository, clone to local machine and create an initial route.

 Additional templates provide the ability to load a variety of Accelerator packages (data and corresponding logic or data visualizations) directly into our partition.

Prerequisites

In order to be able to complete this laboratory exercise, please complete the prerequisite lab(s) before proceeding.

o   PlatformManager access

o   Access privileges for partition creation, Git repository access and access to Pricefx Maven repository

o   WinSCP FTP Client or equivalent

Tool Stack Setup

The following software needs to be installed/set up:

o   Java OpenSDK v11

o   Maven v3.5.3

o   IntelliJ + Pricefx Studio plugin

Step 1: Create Partition

Our goal will be the creation of a blank partition.

  1. Go to platform.pricefx.com and choose the Login with O365 option:

2. Click on the Partitions option (left-hand side):

3. Click on the Create Partition option:

4. Fill in the following information for the partition:

NOTE: We will be accessing our partition using the training cluster (training.pricefx.eu), so notice that “training” is selected for Purpose option.

5. Next, we add the Currency and Unit of Measure options:

6. Next, we need to define which modules to activate and the number of users for each module. We will select all modules and set the number of users to 3 for each:

 NOTE: If you use the default number of admin users as 1, then you will have difficulty later when attempting to use the integration templates or load any of the Accelerators.

7.We can leave the Salesforce contact blank and select a date 60 days into the future as our Usage End Date:

8. Click Submit button, this will create a workflow submission and you will receive the following email:

9. Once the partition has been created, we will receive the following confirmation:
