These are the common user stories that the Workflow Designer visual configuration capability is designed to support:

Modify Pre-Defined Workflow Strategies

The core implementation of Workflow Designer will encompass a standard set of deployed pre-built workflow strategies (ie. Quote, Price List, Rebate Agreement, etc.). Each of these can be modified and updated based on the needs of your application. All modified workflow strategies can be saved.

Modify Pricing Strategy

Any workflow strategies that have been previously created using the Workflow Designer tool can be loaded into the visual configuration tool and updated. Once updated, then they can be deployed to your partition. All modified workflow strategies can be saved.

Custom Pricing Strategy

A new custom workflow strategy can be created by combining Steps, Approvers, Conditions and Functions. . Once created, then they can be deployed to your partition and the associated Workflow Approval tables will be updated. All custom workflow strategies can be saved.

Export/Import Workflows

The import operation will allow the user to import the JSON code of a workflow from another partition into the Workflow Designer tool and then deploy it into their partition. Additionally, the export operation will allow any workflow to be exported into JSON format.
