Create Agent inside Pricefx Copilot

We have introduced the initial capability for users to create Agents directly within the Pricefx Copilot interface. The feature integrates Agent generation powered by an external Agent Generator service.

  1. Click the Copilot Icon icon in the top header bar.
    Availability of the Pricefx Copilot on a given page depends on the configuration of the enableCopilot Advanced Configuration Option.

  2. In the conversation window, always start with the Create agent keywords.

  3. Provide the Business Objective (Example listed below).

    Create a Margin Leakage Detection Agent Continuously identify transactions and quote lines across <Customer>'s global business where realized margin is below statistically expected thresholds. Flag high-risk deals, customers, products, and geographies for expedited review and remediation. Analyze daily transaction-level margin data, quote lines, SKU/product data, sales regions/countries, customer segmentation, and discount records. Apply daily outlier box plot analysis and statistical dispersion measures (standard deviation, z-score) to detect anomalies in margins by product, channel, and region. Flag transactions and quotes where margin falls below modeled benchmarks (including outliers below interquartile ranges and whiskers) for each business segment. Surface actionable margin leakage risks to guide prioritization of review and corrective actions for deals, segments, or areas with statistically significant margin shortfalls.

  4. Click Copilot Send Icon icon.

  5. Click Confirm.

  6. You will be presented with the following message in the Copilot chat window: The Agent is being created, you will be able to find it in a few minutes.

  7. Agent is created in the background. When an Agent is created, the application displays a following success toast message to inform you that the background process has finished. Message also provides a direct link to the new Agent’s detail.

Alternatively you can check the newly created Agent in Pricefx Agents > Agents. Creating an Agent typically takes one to two minutes.

Note that by default the Agent is in the Draft Workflow Status. To activate the Agent, it must be submitted for approval.

Limitations

  • If the same Agent is created more than once or already exists in the Agents or Watchers sections, the Agent Generator service will be unable to import it. This limitation applies to all 14.x versions of Pricefx application. Therefore, it is recommended to avoid creating Agents with identical names or identical business objectives.
    When creating an Agent with the same objective multiple times, always delete the previous Agent from Pricefx Agents > Agents. Additionally, verify and remove any duplicates from Pricefx Agents > Watchers.

  • When creating the Agent within Pricefx Copilot, the default Datamart (Transactions) used for the Sales Insights accelerator will be applied.
