Configure Identity Provider

In order to make the SSO configuration work, there is also configuration on the IdP side required. Pricefx needs to be defined there as a trusted/known service provider. The configuration procedure and terminology used there is different for every IdP provider and the information you have to enter in the SAML configuration section varies too.

It is advisable to use a metadata file to automatically load the configuration. Please contact your IdP administrator to provide you with this information. Pricefx can also generate a metadata file to be used in an IdP.

At a minimum:

  • Pricefx needs to know:

    • IdP URL

    • IdP certificate used for signing the so called "assertions", i.e. the SAML response data

  • IdP needs to know:

    • Name of Service Provider = entityID. For Pricefx it is (unless modified) the complete signon URL.

    • Allowed reply URLs (or AssertionConsumerService (ACS)) = Pricefx consume URL.

    • Which internal value to use/map as a value for NameID (email, login name etc.)
