IE Series Prerequisites

Introduction

This series will provide background and prerequisite content that is intended for all individuals pursuing the Integration Engineer Learning path and pursuing their Integration Engineer certification. It's intent is to provide information on foundational integration concepts that are commonly used by Integration Engineers.

Prerequisite Requirements

To complete the Integration Engineer certification series, you will need access to PlatformManager, and some additional software needs. You will need to download and install these components if you plan on practicing any of the integration tasks.

  • During this series, we will be creating data integration routes that will link to a URL path on an SFTP server. We will be using WinSCP to create our necessary folder structures and initiate our data migration routes. You can access WinSCP v 5.19.6 download here. This is a required download.

  • We will demonstrate how to run your integrations locally in IntelliJ with a Maven project. So, if you would like to replicate this optional feature, then you will need to download and install Maven. You can download it here. Maven installation instructions are here.

  • We will be demonstrating how to use Git to manage the XML code generated in this course. So, if you would like to replicate this optional feature, then you will need to create a Git account here.

  • Primarily, in the class we will be viewing the code within a browser. However, if you want to optionally review the source code locally, then you can download Intellij IDEA here. This is an optional download and we recommend the Community version.
