LPG Edit Options
To open a Live Price Grid (LPG), select it in the list and click the View/Edit Details icon.
The layout of the Live Price Grid can be changed – for details see Customize Columns. Additionally, you can rename all price-related columns (e.g., Previous Price, Active Price, etc.); changed names of other columns will not be saved.
The following behavior applies:
- The column 'Result Price' contains the newly calculated price. The column 'Active Price' contains the latest approved price.
- Result Price can be changed by entering a value in the column 'Manual Override'. Manual price override can also be done in the Excel Client.
- When a line (product) is approved, the value of Result Price becomes Active Price. The old value of Active Price becomes Previous Price.
- Approvals:
- You can approve/deny an item by clicking the Approve or Deny icons within the row.
- You can mass approve / mass deny multiple selected items when you click the Approve or Deny icons under the table.
- You can change the approval state of multiple selected items by clicking the Mass Edit icon – but only to the Submitted/Denied state; the Approved state cannot be set this way.
- After an approval, the Result Price is set as Active Price or an approval workflow is triggered (if it is set up). In this case, Result Price will become Active Price only once the approval was completed.
- When denying an item in LPG, there can be predefined denial reasons to choose from or users can enter their own denial reason (up to 200 characters).
- To calculate a new result price, select a product (line) and click the Calculate icon.
- To see details of the Calculation Results for an item, click the Details icon on the given row. The following window opens:
- First column – Results of the last calculation.
Second column – Currently approved calculation results for the item.
Third column – Last approved calculation result for the item.
Note:
- The Last Updated By and Created By columns in the grid show the name of the user who last updated / created the LPG. However, if the user name changes, the existing records will still show the old user name.
- Changing individual line items in the LPG will not update the Last Updated By column value in the Live Price Grids (header) table.
The icons at the bottom provide the following options:
- Refresh the view.
- Mass edit or mass delete all, filtered or selected fields at once.
- Switch between simple and advanced filter (for details see Filter Records).
- Download the list as XLS or PDF (if PDF publishing is enabled). If you expect the size of the downloaded file to be large, use the 'Async download' option, which helps prevent the web browser timeout. If needed, you can restrict the export functionality to only specified user groups.
- Create a custom calculated field – Add a new column and calculate its values using the values of the existing columns. Click the question mark icon in the editor for the list of supported functions. Note that the new columns are created only on the client side, which means you cannot sort or filter by them and they will not appear in an Excel download, Excel Client or any other integration request (JSON API).
- Create a summary (the procedure is the same as for Price List Summary, so for details see How to Set up Price List Summary)
- Convert LPG to a price list (for details see How to Convert LPG to Price List).
- Add Products to this Live Price Grid.
- You can assign LPG to one or more customers. The procedure is the same as for Price Lists, so for details see How to Assign Price List to Customer.
