Products Overview

In the Overview section you can add products to your quote and organize them into folders.

Products can also be added as children of other products; in this case the calculation goes through the child items in the tree too. You can also define a custom filter for the Product picker (using a logic with 'Nature' set to 'Product Input Filter').

There are two views available when working with products:

Tree View

In this view products are organized by folders which can be expanded/collapsed or moved using drag&drop. The folder view is handy when you work with smaller number of products and need to organize them into (sub)folders easily.

You have the following options in this view:

  • Manage the structure of the products/folders by using drag-and-drop. All products in the folder will be moved too.
  • Rename the root folder – it is controlled by the Description field in the Header Info section.
  • Copythe selected item (only when the quote is in the Draft status).
  • Delete the selected item.
  • Add a new folder. If another folder is selected, the new folder is added as its sub-folder.
  • Download the quote to XLS or PDF (if PDF publishing is enabled).
  • Switchto the table view.

(info) For step-by-step instructions see How to Add Products to Quote (Tree View).

(tick) Input parameters can be entered at the folder level; then all products in the folder inherit them and the inherited values are shown as text next to the editable input parameter fields. Overrides at the product level are possible.

Table View

In the table view all products are listed as table rows. This view is handy when you work with a large number of products and need to perform mass add/edit/delete operations. You can also change values of input parameters and overridable outputs here.

You have the following options in this view:

    • Copy the selected item (only when the quote is in the Draft status).
    • Delete  the selected item.
    • Mass edit  all, filtered or selected items. If a filter is applied (and no items are selected), only the displayed items will be edited. If individual items are selected, only the selected ones will be edited.
    • Mass delete all, filtered or selected items. If a filter is applied (and no items are selected), only the displayed items will be deleted. If individual items are selected, only the selected ones will be deleted.
    • Mass add a new product (described above).
    • Download the quote to XLS or PDF (if PDF publishing is enabled).
    • Switch to the tree view.

(info) For step-by-step instructions see How to Add Products to Quote (Table View).

If your logic produces an element with different output values (e.g. currencies) which are then used as a suffix to another element (e.g. price), in the table view only one suffix value is supported. This is a known limitation and due to performance reasons will not be fixed.
