How to Create Price List Revision

Aim of this articleBy creating a revision, you create a newer version of a price list. This version is linked to the original price list (unlike a copy, which is an independent object). The price list revision can have the same data as the original price list or you can choose to update its validity, pricing logic, product selection etc.

Steps:

  1. Go to Price Setting > Price Lists and select a Price List.
  2. Click the Create Price List Revision icon.
  3. Fill in the following options:
    • Name – Provide a name for the revised price list.
    • Target Date – Update the validity of the price list if needed.
    • Other parameters – The same as when creating a new price list from scratch; update them if needed.
    • Increase/Decrease Threshold – These values (in %) will trigger an alert if the new price is outside the thresholds.
    • Keep manual overrides – If checked, the manually overridden fields from the original price list are kept.
    • Use filter criteria – If checked, the product filter used in the original price list is newly evaluated (and so the revised price list can end up with a different number of products).
(info) This checkbox is only available if the original price list has the filter criteria (still) set. The filter criteria can be removed from the original price list when you e.g. manually add SKUs afterwards (then the products do not match the filter definition anymore).
    • Save only changed items – If you use a different pricing logic in the price list revision, you can choose to have in the resulting price list only products which have different prices than in the original price list.
  4. Confirm the setup by clicking the Create Price List Revision button at the top.
  5. After creating a new revision of a price list, the status will change to Pending (it is not updated automatically but only after you click the Refresh icon).

After you approve the revised price list, it becomes valid. This does not change the status of the original price list – it remains valid too, unless you change it.
