Accelerate Agents
Pricefx Agents are AI-powered assistants that help you make better, faster pricing decisions. They continuously monitor your business data, detect issues or opportunities, and recommend strategic actions.
Agents Accelerator provides the framework for working with Pricefx Agents. The Agent Generator helps create Agents in a smooth and smart process.
How Agents Work
Agents use an event-based architecture powered by "Watcher" technology. When a defined event occurs, like a sudden dip in margin. They analyze the situation and can:
Recommend actions and prioritize actions
Trigger workflows
Send alerts or escalate issues
What to Expect with Agents
Rapid onboarding – Agents are typically up and running in under five business days, depending on readiness (such as available data and technical prerequisites).
Real-time impact – Agents continuously monitor your data, reducing manual analysis and surfacing actionable alerts and recommendations tailored to your business rules and role.
Smart action grouping – Agents can group multiple detected items into a single Action and keep only the most impactful ones, reducing noise in users’ queues.
Transparent limits – When Actions are limited, Agents provide a summary of Actions that were not created (Not Created Actions), including their potential impact, so you can see what was de‑prioritized.
Seamless workflow integration – Alerts, recommendations, and actions appear contextually during your daily tasks (UI alerts, emails, Copilot chat), enabling fast, targeted responses.
Human + AI collaboration – While Agents propose actions, you remain in control; recommendations require your approval or oversight, and all interventions are fully auditable.
Direct follow‑up from Agents – From an Action, users can launch Action Tasks (for example, to update a Live Price Grid based on Agent recommendations).
Consistent multi‑currency handling – Agents and their dashboards track and display multiple currencies consistently, so financial KPIs stay aligned across Agents, Actions, and Dashboards.
Enhanced data trust – Agents evaluate data completeness and quality, signaling gaps or issues transparently so your decisions are always grounded in reliable information.
Customizable experience – Each Agent can be tailored to your business needs right from the interface, so you only see insights and actions relevant to you without the need for coding.
The basic building blocks of Agents Accelerator are:
Agent – Regularly scans data and applies specified rules (alert conditions) to it. If alert conditions are met during the Agent’s run, the Agent automatically creates predefined Actions.
Supported data sources for Agents are: Datamart, Simulation Datamart, Rollup or Optimization Model (Datamart tables organized by Models to which they belong). Multiple sources can be joined for complex cases.Action – Task created by Agent in case its alert conditions are met. Actions can also be created manually from Analytics Data Table, charts, Dashboard portlets or Pricefx Copilot.
Action Plan – “Wrapper” object allowing you to group Actions created by a Agent together by their nature. Action can be located in a specific group within one Action Plan.
Action Task – With Action Tasks, Agents do not just raise alerts, they can also open guided workflows for follow‑up actions such as creating quotes or updating Live Price Grids based on Agent recommendations.
