How to Generate and Deploy Agents

Overview

This tutorial will guide you through the process of using the AI Agent Generator in PlatformManager to create monitoring agents. These agents help pricing analysts automatically detect pricing issues, opportunities, and anomalies without needing advanced technical skills.

Prerequisites

Before you start, make sure:

  • Pricefx version:
    Your Pricefx partition is version 14 or higher

  • Accelerators deployed:

    • Sales Insights (v1.13.0+)

    • Customer Insights (v1.11.0+)

    • Agents Accelerator (v1.0+)

  • Entitlements:
    Read and deploy permissions on the target Pricefx partition.

  • Feature Flag:
    AI Agent Generator (use-ai-agent-generator) enabled.

Step-by-Step Guide

1. Log into Platform Manager

  1. Go to platform.pricefx.com and sign in.

  2. Open the Account tab.

  3. Select the customer account for which you want to generate agents.

  4. Navigate to Partitions and choose the partition for agent deployment.

2. Configure the AI Agent Generator

  1. In Partition Overview, open the AI Agent Generator tab.

  2. Use AI to generate objectives:

    1. Fill in Company Name.

    2. Paste the Salesforce Account Link (from SalesFx).

    3. Click Get Objectives.

Or click Skip to enter business objectives manually:

  1. Click Add Business Objective.

  2. Enter a business objective. Each objective will generate a separate agent.

3. Select Configurations and Datamarts

Agents cannot be deployed on an empty partition, there an existing configuration must be selected.

  • Advanced Property: Select, for example, SIP_AdvancedConfiguration (Sales Insights).

  • Datamart: Select, for example, Standard Sales Data (or other relevant)

4. Generate And Deploy Agents

  1. Click Generate Agents. A progress bar will display as the native Pricefx AI tool generates your agents.
    Successfully generated agents will be marked in green, failed ones in red.

  1. Use corresponding icons to:

  • Deploy: One‑click deployment to partition.

  • Download: Export configuration as JSON.

  • Copy: Copy JSON to clipboard.

Expected Outcome

New agent(s) appear under Pricefx Agents > Agents in your partition.

After deployment, we recommend opening Agent’s configuration in the partition and verifying that all automatically created settings meet your requirements. For more details, see https://pricefx.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/ACC/pages/6421840406.
