Overview:

  • X-Ray is a test management tool in JIRA used by QA Analysts on Customer Solutions projects

  • Helps with documentation of test cases and test results

  • The tool is not free but it is a standard part of all new JIRA project configurations

  • Can be used by the customer for testing during Feature Sprints and during UAT

  • Needs simple configuration before it is used on the project - see below

Benefits:

  • Created test cases are easily visible on the project and linked to correct user stories (Issue type: Test)

  • Communication about testing can be easier now because all testing activities are clearly visible for PM and for the customer

  • UAT monitoring can be easier for us and for the customer

Configuration:

  • As X-Ray is a plug-in in JIRA, it needs a simple configuration which can’t be done automatically by IT department

  • The configuration is very simple and it will take about 1 minute

  • Just do the following steps or send a link to project board to Milan Poláček
