Plasma is a big data pricing insights machine, constantly growing – combining a massive amount of anonymized transaction and quoting data from more than ten major industries, sliced and segmented by region, product type, and other relevant factors.

The data is then compiled into a set of 20+ pricing performance benchmarks, delivered in intuitive visual outputs – designed to answer the most important pricing analytics questions, starting with: how good is your pricing?

...

The only solution of its kind in the pricing world, PricefxPlasma gives customers a unique business advantage to improve their pricing strategy and execution. It offers customers access to reliable quantitative benchmarks so they can objectively measure and compare their performance. It also enables them to identify market trends and to improve decision-making on their future strategy, ambition, and direction of growth.

KPIs currently measured in PricefxPlasma include:

...

End-to-end price waterfall

...

Detailed price buildup, including on- and off-invoice discounts, cost elements, geographical prices, list prices and margin elements.

...

Deal approval process

...

Deal velocity, percentage of deals outside discount guidelines, number of steps in approval process.

...

Price Setting

...

List prices increases captured in realized price, number of list price changes per year.

...

Measures of customer and product concentration

...

Percentage of customers/products to reach revenue deciles.

Pricefx continues to roll out new KPIs to benchmark against.

Once the PricefxPlasma accelerator has been deployed, Pricefx then gathers, anonymizes and aggregates the data into standardized metrics, and loads them into the PricefxPlasma platform.

...

Pricefx will freeze Plasma for the foreseeable future. If you already use Plasma and would like to disable Plasma jobs on partition, follow the instructions below.

To disable Plasma Calculation Flow jobs that are scheduled for data extraction, please ask your partition administrator to follow these steps:

Navigate to Administration → Configuration → System Configuration → Calculation Flows.

Then, delete all Plasma flows that have an 'X' in the Draft column. Depending on your version, you may not have all of the following flows: Plasma_Transactions_Sequencer, Plasma_Transactions_Sequencer_Reset, Plasma_Quotes_Sequencer, and Plasma_Quotes_Sequencer_Reset.

This will ensure that the jobs are properly disabled.
