A Quote Type is a template that specifies the logic that calculates the quote results, it can define user input parameters as well as the workflow approval logic and provides opportunities to restrict edit or view access to a specific group.
You can define several Quote Types and then quickly create quotes based on different pricing logic without the need to change the default pricing logic or other global settings.

You can do that in two ways, firstly if there's a quote type that's similar to what you're looking for you can simply select it and hit duplicate, and then proceed to make the necessary changes. |

   Alternatively, to begin with, a blank template you click on Add Quote Type and a window opens where you can go ahead and populate the information for your template. |

 This means that anyone who is in the Sales Manager User Group can edit this and those in the Pricing Manager and Global Pricing Manager User Groups can only view the information and not make changes. The Quote Type will be hidden for all other User Groups. |
