User groups allow you to easily assign permissions (or predefined sets of permissions) to multiple users.
Asset groups represent combinations of selected partitions and integrations (or even the whole accounts). Asset groups then can be used when assigning permissions to users / user groups.
Business roles combine multiple permissions into one predefined set. They are used for assets.
