If a Quote product filter logic is configured, it also applies to products offered as recommended items and is only applicable to the React version. Additionally, the Last Update Date and Last Updated By columns are not updated when the user opens the Quote for editing but doesn't save any changes.

There is a possibility to switch on/off automatic saving of Quotes, available in Configuration > Quote General Settings > Autosave for the React version.
When disabled, changes in Quotes must be saved manually by clicking the Save button. Moreover, the "Do nothing" option is supported when enabled together with autosave, allowing newly created Quotes to be discarded without immediate saving after creation.
