In This Tutorial, we'll be exploring Rebate Agreement Types and how they are used in creating Rebates within Pricefx. With Rebate Agreement Types you can speed up the process of creating new Rebate Agreements. A Rebate Agreement Type is a template that is created by an administrator or configuration engineer, and it specifies the header, Condition Type filtering, workflow logic, Edit and View Access, and the configuration for dynamic tabs.

What are Rebate Condition Types?
Here we'll be exploring a range of different rebate condition types set up in the Pricefx Demo system. This is not an exhaustive list of conditions, but rather an insight into how the system works and what is possible.
Rebates conditions come into play in a variety of ways in a Rebate Agreement, such as rebates based on percentage growth targets, rebates based on volume sold or a multi layered target agreement with different tiers of rebates based on the volume of goods sold.

What are Rebate Records?
When a new rebate agreement is created, it has a number of condition types, each with their own conditions for the rebate period and calculation period. When that rebate agreement is saved a Rebate Record is created for each line item (or condition) of the rebate agreement.
Rebate records therefore a copy of the line conditions, with the rebate calculation logic determining the way the records are created.
